It could not have been any other city other than Rome, the city where Piotta chose to celebrate the hundredth and last date of the tour that brought him and his band from Gorizia to Palermo in order to present the sound of his last album S(u)ono Diverso throughout Italy. A fusion between rap, punk and reggae where the many successes of the past are specially rearranged and mixed with the great classics of rock music. 20 songs that trace the artist's career: drums, DJ, guitar and bass create an aggressive and catchy sound somewhere between rock tradition and the modernity of urban style.
You might hear the famous guitar riff from "Foxy Lady" by Jimi Hendrix or the bass line from "Guns of Brixton" by The Clash mingle with the most famous Piotta hits as “La Grande Onda” and “Troppo Avanti”.
You will hear this and much more in Piotta's hundredth live gig on Saturday 15 October at the Blackout in Rome, a gig which will close this long and successful tour with a big party, waiting for the new album release.
The Roman alternative band Lemmings, who have just released their second album "Theory of Plan Zero", are opening act.
