After the tragic death of Amy Winehouse back in July, some producers and musicians who have worked closely with Amy (including Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi) have listened to many recordings that the artist had done before, during and after the release of the two albums "Frank" and "Back To Black".  As we know, Amy never sang or recorded the same song in the same way.So Salaam and Mark soon realized that it was a collection of songs that deserved to be heard as a sort of testament of Amy as an artist and, more important, as their friend.
"Lioness: Hidden Treasures" is Amy Winehouse's third album, it is without doubt the album of one of the most talented, original and most popular artists of the last decades.
The album will be released on December 5 for Island Records and will contain 12 tracks including tracks that have never been published before, alternative versions of classics, as well as a couple of originals by Amy.
The track list was compiled by Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson in close collaboration with Amy's family, her management and Island Records.
"Lioness: Hidden Treasures" is a tribute to the artist, her talent and to the woman, a reminder of Amy's the great talent as a songwriter, singer and interpreter of great classics.
