Interview  - Andrea Saidu! Presented yourself to the RadiostarTV friends
Hello, my name is Andrea Saidu, I am 31 years old and I am a singer-songwriter born and raised in Alexandria and province.
- Tell us about your artistic career so far, including highs and lows.
More or less like all music lovers I started playing in a band at the age of 15 years. During college, in addition to working as an educator for children I started playing in a band (MrS Vinavyl) and composing music. When I was graduating, I discovered another passion: the radio. I had always been attracted to it, but until then I had never visited a radio station. As I was writing my thesis on radio programming, I started touring the province becoming a radio announcer, with my typical Alexandrian accent
- What is the genre that best represents you? Was it easy to establish yourself with your music?
Ever since I was a child, I have been listening to both black music and Italian singer-songwriters, this lead me to today's music production experience which gives me great satisfaction. Becoming an established musician in Italy is always hard, but the best thing to do is not think about it too much
- Do you like trying to get new sounds?
I really like it: in this moment I'm also working as a sound engineer and this job encourages me to "write with the frequencies," trying to find functional joint sounds and working frequently with electronics.
- Who is Andrea Saidu?
... A guy who tries to live well, looking for interesting relations both in my private life and in my workplace. Music has become more and more a necessity and I must say that right now I am quite immersed in it and I'm happy!
- What excites you more: the warmth that comes from the audience or a masterful execution of one of your songs?
Playing live is a moment of great satisfaction, being able to perform a song well, trying to convey the meaning to those who are listening, being able to perceive that they are actually receiving it well, is the main goal of the writer to me.
- What are your future plans?
Putting on a live show with my songs and very few carefully selected covers of Italian authors revisited in my own way and, also, recording my first album.
- Tell us about the most successful promotional experience for your songs.
I think that nowadays any possible means of promotion is necessary, from the various "web strategies" to singing the song just with a guitar during a party with friends, the important thing is to write something that represents you without making compromises so that promoting it comes "natural".
