In tutus and pointe shoes number 45, the company Les Ballets Trockadero debuted at the Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome on March 7 and 8 , étoiles that combine quality and irreverent humor in a not to be missed show.  The group travels the world staging in a half- joking way the traditional classical ballet, presenting it in parody and travesty, winning the respect of the major international newspapers, from the "New York Times" to the "Daily Telegraph", from "Variety" to "Vogue ". We at FreeZone have met Raffaele Morra, one of the professional dancers of the Trocks, as these exceptional performers are affectionately called, who joined the corps de ballet in 2001 and is also known as Lariska Dumbchenko. He told us about the spirit with which the major classical repertoire of songs reserved for divas and female corps de ballet are staged, and also about the structural difficulties a male dancer may have when dancing on pointe for the first time.
Since their very beginning, the Trocks have affirmed themselves around the world as a new phenomenon in dance, and since 1974, year of birth of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, they have trod the stages of more than 30 countries and 500 cities around the world and have been reviewed by the most authoritative international newspapers from The New York Times, to the Village Voice, to the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Express.
The Italian tour, after the cities of Rome, Bergamo and Trieste, will continue with the city of Padua on March 15 at the Gran Teatro Geox, and March 17 at the Teatro Comunale of Bolzano.
