East London recording artist Presha J releases his warm up single 'The Life Of Presha' from his album 'The Travellers Guide'. The track focuses on the various trials Presha J has gone through during his experiences of life and how he has overcome them. Taking inspiration from old lyrics and new slogans, Presha J has created a chorus showing his development not only as an artist but also a person. Produced by MOBO Award winning artist and producer Victizzle, 'The Life Of Presha' combines urban rhythms, pulsating, energetic melodies and Presha J's inventive, bold and captivating rapping style. Below is what Presha J had to say about the project and his views on life and music... "I really just want to let listeners know about my journey as a Christian. Becoming a Christian doesn't mean that as soon as you're in, everything will then be ok. There's a process we go through to come out shining." Since I became a Christian I've faced many tests and trials but I've overcome them and if I can; anyone can. There was a time when I just couldn't pray anymore. I found it really hard, and because of that I became weak and vulnerable... but when you have right-minded people around you, there's only so long you can stay like that. Being around light makes a BIG difference." Presha J started out in the Underground UK Garage/Grime music scene with popular tracks 'Classical Riddim' and 'Pump Up Da Presha' which coincided with a life on the streets and gang-related activity. After a life changing experience where Presha J was held at gunpoint and upon trying to shoot him, the gun jammed and didn't go off allowing him to escape. After that experience, Presha J's life changed and so did his music taking on a more positive and inspirational message but with his trademark flow and dynamic writing style. Presha J released his debut EP in 2008 titled 'Changes' which saw the song 'No More' reach No. 7 on the Cross Rhythms Top 10 Chart. The video for 'Whose side are you on' ft A Star was aired on channel aka.
January 2011 saw Presha J, join power-house urban music group Writeway-Music which has since led to him being featured on the Writeway-Music LP 'One Way' (free download) and having a starring role in the Writeway-Music film also titled 'One Way,' both released in 2011. Presha J has toured the UK and has ventured out into Europe performing with Writeway-Music. He has also featured on numerous projects, namely the 'Next Ting 140' Grime album from MOBO Award Winning artist Guvna B in 2011.
