Odio dicembre is the first single taken from Complice, debut album of the singer from Ostuni Silvia Anglani, flanked in this work by the great American saxophonist Michael Rosen. The CD, published by Controvento by Dodicilune and distributed by IRD, out May 31st, is promoted with the support of Puglia Sounds – P.O. FESR Puglia 2007-2013 Asse IV. A crystal talent, capable of crossing the streets of pop, jazz, soul, Silvia Anglani has a clear, incisive and profound voice, with a warm tone that brings pathos and originality to any repertoire. The encounter between such a unique singer and such an accurate and high quality artistic production, represents another important step forward for the label Dodicilune, which, with the new Controvento series, has confirmed itself as one of the most vivid record labels in nowadays Italian and international music scene. Under the artistic direction and with the music and lyrics by Gabriele Rampino - a producer and composer from Salento, author of the soundtracks of several films by Edoardo Winspeare - the project is a good mixture of different experiences intertwined with a great artistic and technical quality. Complice is an innovative project from Puglia with a broad international scope, thanks to the presence of a saxophone player of the rank of the American Michael Rosen.
The unique personality of Silvia Anglani’s voice, edgy and sexy, "not at all post-modern, but slightly retro," allows her to interpret with intensity and mastery a varied repertoire, which moves in the most diverse musical territories. Echoes of tangos, ballads, old melodies, soul, jazz and cutting edge rhythms, torch songs, exquisite music but easy listening, with an eye for soundesign and the latest trends of electronic music. A songbook of precious previously unreleased songs, with a gem, "Conversazione",, a song that Mina had recorded in 1967, presented in a shiny new version.
