Psiker è un cantautore Milanese. Il nome d’arte nasce dall’unione della parola greca “psyché” anima/mente ed il suffisso “er”, che in inglese identifica “colui il quale”. L’artista attraverso questo pseudonimo conduce al pensiero che è alla base di ogni sua produzione.

Dal 2001 segue ogni fase del suo progetto musicale, che unisce suono ed immagine, dalle sonorità synth pop con influenze fine anni ‘80 / primi anni ’90 e che ha coinvolto ad oggi un centinaio di musicisti e collaboratori.

Contraddistinto da un’inesauribile vena creativa, ha pubblicato dal 2008 ad oggi quattro album: Logic (2008), Genial (2011), Synthetico (2012) ed Exist (2014); anticipati da tre demo album senza distribuzione: Delivery (2003), Daydreams (2004) e Artismo (2005).

Dagli album sono stati estratti undici singoli, tra quali: Logic, che nl 2008 gli ha permesso di siglare il suo primo contratto discografico con la Universo (Lunapop, Zeroassoluto, etc.); Insalata di riso, brano che nel 2009 si posizionò 43° tra i brani più visti della settimana su Youtube e Genial, il cui videoclip nel 2011 raggiunse il 26° posto tra i video più visti del giorno su Youtube.

Il 2/12/2016 Psiker pubblicherà il suo quinto album, Maximo. Nel disco il musicista ha radunato le voci delle band che ascoltava negli anni 90, quando, poco più che adolescente, non sapeva che le stesse avrebbero influenzato lo stile musicale delle canzoni che avrebbe cominciato a scrivere qualche anno dopo. I featuring di Maximo sono: Francesca Gastaldi degli Zerozen, Raffaella Destefano dei Madreblu, Luca Urbani dei Soerba e Odette Di Maio dei Soon. Oltre a duettare con Psiker, tutti gli artisti hanno inserito nelle canzoni delle piccole citazioni dai loro brani più famosi (Francesca Gastaldi da “Bambina Artificiale” del 1998; Raffaella Destefano da “Gli angeli” del 1997; Luca Urbani da “I am happy” del 1998 e Odette Di Maio da “Il Fiume” del 1996). L’album è anticipato dal singolo Metropolitana (feat.Francesca Gastaldi).

Gli album e i singoli di Psiker sono distribuiti da Sounday, in tutti i pricipali store digitali (iTunes, Amazon, etc) e per lo streaming (Spotify, Deezer, etc.). Psiker suona nei principali liveclubs di Milano ed hinterland (Le Scimmie, Le Trottoir, Ligera etc.) con la sua band formata da Arco alla batteria elettronica, Chain al flauto traverso e Shiver alle tastiere.

BIOGRAPHY

Psiker is a singer songwriter from Milan. The artistic name comes from the union of the Greek word “psyche” – soul/mind and the suffix “er”, which in English identifies “the one who”. The artist represents through this pseudonym the thought which is the base of any of his productions.

Since 2011 he manages every phase of his music project, which combines sound and image, with a synth pop music style with influences from the late 80’s / early 90’s and which has involved one hundred musicians and collaborators so far.

Driven by his endless creativity, he has released from 2008 until today four albums: Logic (2008), Genial (2011), Synthetico (2012) and Exist (2014); preceded by three demo abums without distribution: Delivery (2003), Daydreams (2004) and Artismo (2005).

Eleven singles have been taken from the albums, among those: Logic, which in 2008 enabled Psiker to sign his first recording contract with Universo (Lunapop, Zeroassoluto, etc.), Insalata di riso, which reached the 43rd position in the most viewed songs of the week chart of Youtube after its released in 2009 and Genial, which videoclip reached the 26th position in the most viewed video of the day chart of Youtbe in 2011.

On 2/12/2016 Psiker will release his fifth album, Maximo. The musician has collaborated with the voices of the bands he has been listening to in the 90’s, when he was a teenager and had no idea that those bands would have deeply influence the style of the songs that he would have started to write a few years later. Maximo features: Francesca Gastaldi from Zerozen, Raffaella Destefano from Madreblu, Luca Urbani from Soerba and Odette Di Maio from Soon. Every Artist has a duet with Psiker and sing a short verse from one of their most famous songs (Francesca Gastaldi with “Bambina Artificiale” from 1998; Raffaella Destefano with “Gli angeli” from 1997; Luca Urbani with “I am happy” from 1998 and Odette Di Maio with “Il Fiume” from 1996). The album is anticipated by the single Metropolitana (feat.Francesca Gastaldi).

The albums and singles are distributed by Sounday and are available for digital download on all the major online shops (iTunes, Amazon, etc.) and for streaming (Spotify, Deezer, etc.). Psiker plays live in some of the major clubs of Milan and district (Le Scimmie, Le Trottoir, Ligera etc.) with his band which members are: Arco on the electric drums, Chain on the Flute and Shiver on the keyboards.
